Firstly apologises for infrequency of this blog…this is due to having no access to the internet and also of course ….I have been very busy!
The Winter Palace lived up to its reputation it is luxurious, even palatial but also has a wonderful sense of slightly faded grandeur that speaks of a bygone age when travel was a luxury. Madame Catarina was delighted with her room and grand terrace so much so she allowed me to unpack and hang her clothes. As it was late she ordered me to organise rom service for a late supper and invited me to join her. As I knelt at my Mistresses feet eating from a plate this time and not a bowl I knew there was nowhere else I would rather be as she explained to me how I must behave over the coming week. After the long journey and the full itinerary ahead Madame Catarina decided that she wished to spend the day relaxing by the pool and exploring the hotel. I was to be allowed to escort her and of course fetch and carry whatever she required and order drinks and lunch.
